What is Mesh Technology?

Unfortunately, Mesh is not a standard, or almost not. Every brand has developed its "own Mesh.": n 2020, Interphone and Sena decided to join forces in the "Ride United" consortium to share the Mesh 2.0 protocol (and also Bluetooth). All Interphone and Sena Mesh devices communicate seamlessly without problems or limitations.

Some technicalities: Mesh utilizes an interconnected network where each intercom acts as a node, contributing to extending coverage and ensuring stable and reliable communication.  

A distinctive feature is its self-configuration capability. Two advantages: the central units recognize each other automatically, and to establish communication, you just need to press a button without any additional operations.
Furthermore, if an intercom suddenly exits the network, other nodes adapt instantly to maintain uninterrupted communication.

This feature is crucial to ensuring easy and reliable connection even in dynamic contexts, facilitating smooth communication even within large groups, supporting up to 24 devices and covering considerable distances, up to 1.6 km.
 

Superior Performance

Mesh is solely for communicating with other people. Bluetooth connection, on the other hand, remains and works independently for the smartphone or navigator. The intercom can alternate between the two communication types, managing scenarios such as background music or navigation instructions during intercom conversations.
